AUSTIN, TEXAS (December 30, 2019) — Country artist Drew Fish and his family continued their tradition of celebrating the holidays by visiting a nursing home on Christmas Day. This year, the family dropped in to Cedar Lake Nursing Home in Malakoff, Texas to sing for the residents. “Every year we go to the local nursing home to sing and spread some holiday cheer to the folks that don’t have families to spend Christmas with,” Fish said. “It’s very special seeing how much it means to some of the people. It can get pretty emotional.” Fish was joined by cousin and actor Glen Powell (Scream Queens, Expendables 3, Top Gun) and cousin and singer / songwriter Leslie Powell (songs featured during 2019 FIFA World Cup and tv show, Roswell). Fish’s new release, Wishful Drinkin’, is slated for release on February 7, 2020. His third album was recorded and produced by five-time Grammy award winner, Adam Odor (known for his work with the Dixie Chicks, Pat Green and the Randy Rogers Band). Fish co-wrote all of the songs on the new record and found his way leaning toward a more traditional honky-tonk sound. In 2019, his single, “Better Place,” topped the regional radio charts, while the video garnered more than 200,000 views on YouTube. In all, his music videos have amassed more than two million views. His previous single, “Flood,” also topped the charts. Just before Christmas, his “Devil You Know” single spent five weeks at the #5 spot. |
