AUSTIN, TEXAS — When it was suggested to Country Singer Drew Fish that he reach out to Country Star Pam Tillis to sing a duet on his new album, Wishful Drinkin’ (Release date: Feb. 7), he tried to control his excitement about the possibility. The song, “Every Damn Time” is the new single from the album (available everywhere Jan. 17) and was written by Fish with noted songwriters Roger Brown and Chris Colston. I really enjoyed working with her on this song. ”The Drew Fish Band’s third record, Wishful Drinkin,’ is a terrific blend of honky-tonk country. Fish takes his cues from country’s hard-core and ‘50s dance halls and ballroom influences–from Webb Pierce to Bob Wills–at a time when most newcomers are as apt to cite pop and rock heroes as the old cornerstones. Meanwhile, the Drew Fish Band’s live show has definitely earned it’s good-time, beer drinking reputation over the years. It’s easy to understand why after seeing his music videos full of up-beat, party anthems or experiencing the band’s high-energy show for yourself. In 2019, his single, “Better Place,” topped the regional radio charts, while the video garnered more than 200,000 views on YouTube. In all, his music videos have amassed more than two million views. His previous single, “Flood,” also topped the charts. Just before Christmas 2019, his “Devil You Know” single spent five weeks at the #5 spot. |
